When I woke up on the beautifully cold morning on Sunday I thought it was just going to be a regular old Sunday go with FI Fishie and FMIL Fishie to the humane society and get clawed to pieces while trimming cat nails. But, as luck would have it there was an advertisement on some wedding website (not even too sure which one anymore) about the “Beginnings Bridal Show” also known as “FREE CAKE!” ok maybe that's only me but I called up FMIL Fishie and asked her if she wanted to go with me. Which, she was more then excited to do I mean, who passes up the opportunity for Free Cake? But, I'll get to the yummy cake later.

Wedding Abbreviations PSA
We interrupt this Wedding Blog to tackle an issue that everyone is afraid to talk about, Wedding Abbreviations. We all know it's there, and we all ignore it. How are people who are new to this blogging world supposed to know what you're talking about when you discuss STDs, BMs, OOTs, GMs, BP, MIL, or any of the other million and a half abbreviations we in this wedding world use? Well, as the Fishie Bride, I've decided it's my job to educate the masses. So, for your viewing pleasure I've put together a list of common wedding-related abbreviations which I and other wedding bloggers use and abuse without giving thought to the consequences to our family, friends, and loved ones.

Wedding Planning for a Motherless Daughter
My first post may have been a little on the satirical side but in all seriousness there's one big reason why I feel like a fish out of water when it comes to wedding planning. When I was fresh out of high school I lost one of the most important women in my life, my mother.
Introducing...The Fishie Bride
Why oh why would someone ever want to be known as “The Fishie Bride”? Well, the short answer is because in my quest to plan a wonderful wedding; I'm starting to feel more like a “fish out of water” then a “blushing bride”. Although, in reality I'm not a big “fish” person I'd rather have a furry four legged critter by my side but I didn't think “Cat out of Water” had the same ring to it.
